Mother’s Day is here again, and the question of how best to honor our moms is at the forefront of our minds. What do you get for the mom who has everything, and when you ask, says she “doesn’t need anything?”

What are the 5 most meaningful gift ideas for your mom this Mother’s Day?
- If possible, plan a day out together (go to coffee, eat lunch, shop, see a movie, etc.) It doesn’t matter what you do so much as the fact that you are investing quality time in the relationship. Trust me, this will mean more than any wrapped package!
- Put together a photo album of favorite memories together (physical or digital) and share what your mom did to make each of those moments so special.
- Create an “I love you because…” list (for a FREE, beautiful gift-worthy template, click HERE) and share all the things that make your mama so special! Frame it so she will always remember how much she means to you!
- Write a heartfelt letter expressing your gratitude for all the ways your mom has impacted your life.
- Schedule a family photo session with mom/grandma. Be sure to get pictures of you and her, her and the grandkids, and a multigenerational photo with all of you. Then frame them for her. She will cherish them, and your time together!
Remember, it doesn’t matter how much you spend, but how you show your love, honor, and appreciation for your mom.

I wish my relationship with my family was different. I try to be the best mother that I can be to my own kids. I just am hoping for the best.
Awe, Brittny, I understand that all too well! I have learned I can only control myself and work hard to leave a different legacy for my own kids. I encourage you to help your kids take time to celebrate you this mother’s day! It is okay to plan something yourself!!! ~Sending hugs~
On Mother’s Day I miss my mum so very much.. We would spend the day together and enjoy being together…I miss her laugh, her smile and her great advice…wish I could see her once again….
I’m sorry Michele. That is incredibly difficult. I have found writing a letter to your mom can help you to reflect on why she meant so much to you, and be a wonderful way to honor her memory while also helping your process your grief. Maybe you share it with others who knew her, or perhaps you keep it to yourself, but it can help. Praying for peace and comfort for you during this difficult time of year. Thank you for sharing your heart.
I love the gift of meaningful time spent together! After so much of my adult life living across the ocean from my mom, I’m glad she’s only an hour away from me now!
What a blessing that is for you, and a treasure for her as well!
I love your wonderful gift ideas! Thank you for this awesome giveaway!
On Mother’s Day I always miss my mom & Nana. I lost my beloved Nana in 1983 & lost my precious mom in 2004. Great gift ideas, & thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
I love these Mother’s day gifts ideas. Thanks for sharing!
I like the idea of a multigenerational family photo. It’s hard to get everyone together at the same time, but it would be worth it to have one really nice picture. If several family members chipped in, a family could hire a professional photographer to take it, rather than the usual snapshots on the phone. It would be something everyone would treasure years later.
I’ve been trying to get my kids to do a family photo shoot since last year!
I understand that struggle!
