LeapStart Learning Success Bundle
I’m always on the lookout for fun new learning resources to enhance our homeschool, so I was excited for the opportunity to try out a new LeapFrog product: The LeapStart® Learning Success Bundle™
The LeapStart® Learning Success Bundle™ is an interactive learning system that makes reading and discovering fun for little ones! I used it with my six-year-old son, though his sister stole it from him often!
About the Product
- The Learning Success Bundle is a complete learning system
- It includes two books: “Go! Go! Cory Carson®️Cory Carson Superhero School™️ and an additional activity book–“Adventures in Learning”
- It works with all LeapStart®️ books (but not LeapReader®️ books).
- You need a computer with an internet connection to download books onto the LeapStart®️ system.
What I Loved
There is so much to love with this product! I appreciated the open & go format (especially since my kiddos were chomping at the bit to test it out).
I sent my daughter in search of batteries before I realized that it even included them, which was so nice!
The audio was a good quality and the books were fun and engaging for both kids.
I really loved that the books included two difficulty levels.
I also appreciated how the system could fold and go.
Overall, I had no complaints with the product.
How We Used the Product:
My six-year-old son used the product at least four days a week over the course of six weeks in our homeschool. It was great for when I needed to instruct my daughter on some of her schoolwork because my son was excited for the time on his LeapStart®️ system. In addition to the independent time he spent learning on it, we also took time together several days a week for him to show off his skills to me. And his sister got in on the action by showing off all the things she learned (like what a washer is)…
Jordan loved that he could use the stylus pen for the various activities. Kendra loved that she could click on the words to the story to make it read aloud to her. It’s also nice for struggling readers to read independently and be able to click on the words they need help with without getting frustrated or having to wait for a parent to help them.
Cory Carson Superhero School™️ is a fun Level 1 (preschool) storybook. It has bright and engaging pages. My son loved that not only could he follow along with the book, he could also click on various parts of the pages to hear additional sounds–like the mud puddle (which he clicked again and again).
The Adventures in Learning book provides samples of other books you can get for the system. It includes fun activities for daily routines, STEM, critical thinking, math, animals, and world atlas. Each page has two levels of difficulty.
Jordan loved spending 10-20 minutes each school day interacting with the books. He would then share with me his favorite activities from the day. He loved learning about the various types of transportation on the world atlas page, and repeatedly played with the puppies and traced his numbers on the math page. He also enjoyed changing the instruments on the inside cover of the system.
Additionally, we took this in the car with us as we traveled and the kids had a blast engaging with it to pass the time (and I loved that they were learning instead of just watching a show or playing a video game).
Final Thoughts…
LeapStart® Learning Success Bundle™ is a fantastic product for your young kids. It is fun and engaging, and the quality of the product is excellent. I highly recommend it.
