Have you ever struggled with feeling inadequate? Worried what others would think if they knew the “real” you? Feared rejection or failure?
If so, you’re not alone!
Not only can I relate, so can an award-winning author and ministry leader, Erica Wiggenhorn.
I had the privilege of meeting Erica this year and couldn’t wait to get my hands on her new book.
I spent so much of my life striving, and even though God has done an amazing work in my heart, I still battle with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt.
About the Book
This is a book every woman needs to read.
Erica examines the life of Moses as she helps the reader explore their own struggles with identity, failure, fears, disappointments, distractions, limitations, betrayals, and disobedience.
Each chapter ends with four components to help in your journey:
- A Bible Reading Plan if you want to dive deeper into the scriptural context and connect with God.
- Truths for the Journey to replace our false beliefs by filling our hearts and minds with simple truths about God.
- Processing the Journey with fantastic questions to help us examine our lives and practically apply the material. They can be used alone or in a small group.
- Passionate Prayers to strengthen and encourage us as we walk with God through our struggles.
My Thoughts
I have found it so easy to fall into the trap of escaping and avoiding the scary stuff. I can’t fail if I never try, right? And I can’t be rejected if I don’t put myself out there.
Maybe you can relate?
But God has called us to walk with Him into unknown territory. To see and experience the miraculous.
We were made for more than a comfortable and meaningless existence. Erica’s book ignited fresh hope within me to step out in greater faith with full assurance that God is with me and for me.
I cannot mess up His plans for my life. I can live with Godfidence. (I LOVE THIS TERM!)
I highly recommend this book. I was hooked by her first story. (I thought I was the only one who felt that way…)
I felt like I was sitting with a close friend as I read Erica’s words. Her transparency and vulnerability immediately put me at ease and drew me into the life of Moses while exposing the struggles we all face. I never realized how much I have in common with him!
I love how practical and personable the book is. It’s a quick read filled with so much wisdom and simple tools to help us break free from striving. It came at a perfect season in my own life, and I am sure you will feel the same!
