How We Used the Product in our Homeschool

We currently have a 2nd and 4th grader. We liked to listen to The Adventum during our lunch, though we also occasionally gathered in the living room where my son would build legos and my daughter and I would color as we listened. We also listened to a couple episodes while driving.

After completing an episode, we’d talk about the story and read it in our Bible. We started doing that because my son was so excited with the first story he heard that he had to pull out his Bible and show me that he knew where that story was. He loved hearing the stories come alive!

What I Loved

This series is well-done. The audio is high-quality and each story is loaded with action and adventure. There are full sounds in addition to the dialog, so you feel like you’re watching a movie. It covers the key stories in Genesis and provides great opportunities for dialog.

I liked that each episode was brief enough to hold my kids’ attention (15-20 minutes or so), and I loved how well they told the stories. I wish I’d recorded my kids’ reactions as they listened to each episode (but we used the downloadable version and played it on my phone). Even if my son was playing with legos while listening, he would stop and sit up when the action ramped up, waiting to see what would happen next. Both kids became fully engrossed in the stories and asked to listen to more.

I also loved the flexibility of choosing CD’s or digital downloads. We were able to listen to the files at home and in the car.
