How do we make history come alive in our homeschool? I am constantly on the lookout for high quality books to enhance our homeschool and am so excited about the Who, What, Why? Series from Danika Cooley.

About the Book: Who Was Martin Luther?

  • Itโ€™s 90 pages broken into 8 chapters with a timeline at the end.
  • I love the creative chapter titles (A Diet of Worms ~ Kidnapped! ~ A War, a Wife, and a Funeral). They are sure to catch and keep your childโ€™s attention.
  • There are fun pictures throughout the book (black and white).
  • The chapters are short enough for your middle grade (8-11 year old) readers to read on their own or for you to read aloud as a family.
  • Each chapter is LOADED with tons of fun facts and relevant information told in story form.

โ€œGodโ€™s truth never stays hidden for long. Itโ€™s a truth worth staking our lives upon, worth fighting for, and worth studying daily.โ€

My Review:

I loved this book! I learned a ton of information I didnโ€™t know, and my kids did too. I appreciated how the author brought history to life, connected church and world events, and loaded the pages with action. I highly recommend the book and canโ€™t wait to read the rest of the series.

โ€œSometimes the people who change the world come from the most unlikely of places.โ€

A Childโ€™s Perspective:

My daughter wanted to share her thoughts with you as well, so here is her review:

โ€œThe book is really good and I like how it has a lot of true things and quotes from Martin Luther. I also think itโ€™s really good because it has some pictures but not too many. Itโ€™s nice that the words arenโ€™t too small. The only thing I didnโ€™t like was that it could have a little more action and some color. It was a really good book and I think you should get it! It teaches you about the Bible, has action, and is a good story.โ€
